AAL is a company engaged in the palm oil plantation and its derivative products to cater domestic and export markets. The total planted area of palm oil plantation managed by AAL is 286,877 hectares spread across Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. Of this area, 217,328 hectares are nucleus plantations while 69,549 hectares are plasma plantations. In addition, AAL is expanding its business to sectors integrated with palm oil, such as integrated cattle-palm oil plantation business and NPK fertilizer blending factories.
With full commitment to sustainable plantation management, at the end of 2019 AAL’s operations have received 38 ISPO (Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil) certificates, and also achieved PROPER from the Ministry of the Environment, at the national level with a total of 5 subsidiaries obtained the Green rating and 18 the Blue rating, and at the provincial level with 4 subsidiaries awarded the Green rating and 2 more with the Blue rating. In addition to manage its nucleus plantation, AAL also supports the Government’s program to develop palm-based small-scale economies by establishing partnership with local smallholders, with a composition of 76% nucleus plantation and 24% plasma and KKPA Cooperative (Kredit Koperasi Primer untuk Anggota) at the end of 2019.
