Pama

The mining contracting service is operated by PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama), a subsidiary of UT which provides quality mining services to various leading mining concession companies in Indonesia.

Pama works on behalf of mine concession owners to manage and operate their mining activities and offers a comprehensive mining services, including mining designing, exploration, extraction, hauling, barging and commodity transportation.

In carrying out its mining activities, Pama owns a comprehensive fleet of 3,460 units heavy equipment in total, increased from 3,129 units in 2016. The fleet consists of 335 bulldozers (2016: 303), 398 excavators and shovels (2016: 332), 2,320 dump trucks (2016: 2.104), 146 prime movers (2016: 150) and 261 wheel loaders and motor graders (2016: 240). This heavy equipment is able support more than 800 million bcm of overburden removal production and more than 120 million tonnes of coal production.

Pama has also purchased new heavy equipment to support the increase in volume of soil dredging and coal production in line with customer demands.
