Astra’s heavy equipment, mining, construction and energy business line is managed by PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), a subsidiary of Astra with 59.5% ownership. All of UT’s shares are listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of Rp132.0 trillion as of the end of 2017.

UT accounts for 31% of Astra’s consolidated net revenue in 2017, increased from 25% in the previous year. Such an improved performance reflects UT’s success in taking advantage of the recovery in heavy equipment and coal mining industry in line with positive movement of global commodity prices during 2017.
